The base SL4 distribution is basically TUV’s Enterprise Linux 4 recompiled from source. We have tried to maintain binary compatibility with the commercial release. Not all architectures are available for all releases.
As of February 2012 SL4 is End Of Life, you should not perform new installations of this operating system.
